German Branch visit talk Mark Sanderson (Parents; don't hinder young children to get baptized)
by Daniel1555 inthe video streaming of the german branch visit program was excrutiating 3.5 hours long.. i just went to see the last 45 min (part of mark sandersons talk).. i think sanderson is quite a sympathetic speaker and he kind of made a loving impression.. he didn't mention controversial stuff (except for one thing i will come to soon).
he mostly talked about how to find joy, even when life is not easy, and how much the gb loves the rank and file.. one point seemed soooo important to him.
parents and children.

Are the writers in the writing department purposely misquoting people?
by paulmolark inafter reading that great post about the june 1 article on science i got to thinking.
although it is great to believe there is this huge group of guys in the jw writing department that are constantly looking to mislead us by twisting the words of scientist etc... i really think it is more likely they are google researchers that do not have the ability to grasp the thoughts that are being expressed in the scientific article they quote mine from.. i honestly believe the reason that this happens is because of the individuals they use to write these magazines.
these are not college educated men.

Lack of adequate training may contribute to misrepresentations found in Watchtower publications but the root cause is, in my opinion, a groping for justification. Take for example Watchtower's misuse of statements made by Bartholomeo Santinelli. The document quoted from is in Latin, so someone inside Watchtower had to have had training sufficient to translate Latin into English and then cherry-pick words from what Santinelli said. It is impossible to have selectively picked what Watchtower writers did of Santinelli's position without realizing it amounted to a wholesale lie. It took training to do what those writers did.

I have an acquaintance who's worked at Watchtower's farm facility for decades. He operated heavy equipment and later supervised these operators. These days he's doing something else, but still at the farm. Back when this was all hitting the fan he said something to me in cryptic language about late-night digging and burying of materials. I replied with some cryptic language of my own and immediately he knew his code talk was understood by me beyond what he expected me to know. He clammed up tighter than a cinch knot! -

First, there was nothing. Then, nothing acted upon the nothing and caused nothing to explode. Out of the exploded nothing, came everything and everywhere.
That is wrong on so many levels I wouldn't know where to begin picking it apart; so I won't. It speaks for itself. Screams is more like it.
"First, there was nothing." Wow!

Your friend can call, and it might make your friend feel better that he or she did what they could to help the cause. But many have tried this before. Thousands! Watchtower's higher-ups do not give a rat's ass what the rank-and-file "anointed" think about anything whatsoever. Watchtower is running a business, and it's a very profitable one. -

"Normal family affections and dealings" continue - If only?!?
by LHS123 ini am new to this forum - it is only a couple of weeks since i have allowed myself to acknowledge and research my doubts.
i am trying to be fair by reading both sides of the story and considering jw official explanation of confusing matters.
one of the issues i have been looking at is shunning - and i was shocked to see the misleading information about shunning on the jw.org website: .

The Watchtower's cash flow problems and financial solvency with lawsuits payouts
by Brokeback Watchtower ini think with all this change we see occurring with the watchtower corporation's to deal with things means they are in financial trouble and are seeking to consolidate their real estate holdings for easy sale if needed to stay financially solvent.. they will stop or slowly decrease the door to door work and focus on the material potential of each member young and old for what ever they can get out of them.
this will lead to more leaving under their tyranny.

The Watchtower organization is laced with cash. My guess is their using cash to building a financial foundation that is practically untouchable and will support its activity for the indefinite future even if they lose every single donor down the road at some point.
